PETG thermoforming is a manufacturing process where PETG plastic sheets are heated to a specific forming temperature, then shaped over a mold using vacuum pressure to remove air between the material and the mold surface. The formed part is then trimmed to precise specifications. PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) is valued for its excellent clarity, impact resistance, chemical stability, and ease of thermoforming. This process is ideal for producing custom enclosures, radomes, medical components, and industrial parts with complex geometries at lower tooling costs compared to injection molding.
